We decided to make a third visit to Fremantle today partly to visit the Market and do some shopping but also to look at a few things we didn't see before because of the thunder storm.
This time we took the train. so we have visited by bus train and boat!! It took about half an hour form Perth station/
When we arrived at the Fremantle station which is alongside the docks we discovered that Queen Mary 2 and another cruise ship were in the port. They must have arrived overnight because they weren't there yesterday!
We did some shopping and then had a walk round the Dock, We went in Cicerellos for an ice cream. It was fairly busy.
There are lots of fish shops in this town , we should have bought some fresh fish when were here before which we could have cooked then!!
There is a new maritime museum on the dock which looks like a miniature Sydney Opera house. We had a brief look inside. Outside were list of people who arrived in Fremantle as immigrants. I spotted a Green family and a Butler family.
We took the train back to Perth and discovered that it was raining there. There was an event being held near the station , different ethnic groups were dancing and singing. We were surprised this was going ahead as the event yesterday was cancelled!!
The day ended with a lovely meal . This time we had Barramundi another fish to add to our collection!! Salmon will be a bit boring from now on!!
Tomorrow the Trefoil Guild lady is picking us up and taking us to the Afternoon tea event. It is still on so we will see how many turn up!
That other ship looks like a container ship not a cruise liner what was the pass you were holding for? was it your winning ticket at the trotters ? you should have tried the squid rings in Cicerellis they were very good it was the first time we had ever had them Bryce introduced us to them. We had barramundi caught in a lake in the Northern Territories, as i remember it was quite good
